Oh come - all ye? Faithful?
Cliff says: I think this is very funny. I like the way it says "perhaps..." there is a 5th Noble Truth as in it's a polite suggestion, a notion that could be considered. It doesn't even say Christmas. It says "holidays", respecting Buddhism's non-theistic values. How inoffensive and tolerant and representative of our multi-cultural society.
But wait - what's this?
Then the cross comes down and smashes the temple next to a heavy slogan. I like the way the monk legs it as he gets nearer the door of the second temple to avoid being smitten (smited?) (smote?) down by the cross.
But I like those multi-faith cards you get. They're so darn nice. "Happy holidays". "It's that time of year again". "Peace on Earth".
I try to be politically correct. Last week, and I swear this is true, I emailed our facilities department at work to see if they could send a "handyperson" to put a whiteboard on the wall.
This was after I called to ask if they could to send up a man, "or a woman", with a drill straight away. By trying to be politically correct, I ended up sounding like I was into wierd kinky shit, or perhaps just mad.
So I hope at least this time that I sound sane when I say that whatever religion you are, it's still Christmas with a Christ. Like it or not, that's just what it is, so have a merry one with peace in your heart and God (or not, and that's cool) rest ye merry gentlepeople.
